Here’s what you’ll need to make honey garlic shrimp
- Shrimp: I recommend using raw shrimp that has the tail off, is peeled and deveined. Make sure your shrimp is thawed before cooking. You can thaw frozen shrimp by either putting it in the refrigerator the night before or putting the shrimp in a large bowl of cold water for about 15 minutes.
- Honey: The sweet touch that this dish needs. Honey pairs perfectly with the sriracha to give that sweet and spicy flavor we love.
- Coconut aminos: I love using coconut aminos as a soy sauce alternative in dishes like this or stir-fry.
- Garlic: Two cloves of garlic is added to this recipe.
- Sriracha: The spicy ingredient that is essential in this recipe.
- Cayenne pepper: Feel free to leave out if you think the sriracha is enough spice for you.
- Apple cider vinegar
- Sesame oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Arrowroot powder: this is added as a thickening agent in the dish but can be left out if you prefer a runnier sauce.
