    How To Roast Garlic

I use garlic in a lot of my recipes. Roasted garlic, as many of you probably know, has a lot of uses in the kitchen. One of my favorite ways to use it is in my roasted garlic hummus recipe. But you can also eat it plain or on something as simple as toast. Garlic is transformed into a buttery texture that is flavorful and more easily digestible when it’s roasted. This makes it perfect for using as a spread or dip.

    How to Roast Garlic:

    1. Preheat the oven to 400°F
    2. With a knife, cut off about ½ inch of the top of the cloves. This will expose the individual cloves.
    3. Put the whole garlic head in a muffin tin, with the cut side facing up. Drizzle the tops with olive oil.
    4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 - 40 minutes. The cloves will be soft and browned slightly when done.
    5. Let cool and remove the garlic cloves by squeezing them with your fingers or using a fork.
