Prepare to be amazed at how simple it is to make your own pumpkin spice latte at home! I was a skeptic like the rest of us and thought there’s no way I can have a pumpkin spice latte taste as good as Starbucks. But I was wrong and I’m here to prove you wrong too!

Being a food blogger, I have to think of holidays and seasons a little ahead of everyone else. So back in August I was already dreaming up new pumpkin creations and of course knew I needed to add a pumpkin spice latte recipe to the site. There’s something about a warm cup of spiced coffee that says “cozy fall vibes” that everyone loves. But making it at home is even extra cozy, in my opinion, and saves you some cash!

What’s in a dairy free homemade pumpkin spice latte?

We’ll I’m glad you asked! There really aren’t many ingredients in this recipe for how flavorful this coffee is. Here is the list of ingredients:

  • Regular Coffee or Decaf Coffee
  • Coconut Milk (or preferred dairy free milk)
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • Honey
  • Vanilla Extract

How do I make a pumpkin spice latte at home?

It’s really pretty simple! There are only a few ingredients you need to heat up and stir before you’re on your way to enjoying a warm cup of fall bliss!

Follow these steps:

  1. In a small saucepan, add all the ingredients besides the vanilla extract. Heat and stir to combine. Once the coffee has reached the desired temperature, take it off the heat and add the vanilla extract. Stir and pour into a coffee mug.
  2. This recipe is for one serving. Feel free to add coconut whipped cream and a little extra spice on top, if desired.

What kind of coffee should I use in Pumpkin Spice Lattes?

You can use whatever type of coffee you prefer! I make mine using either regular coffee, decaf coffee or homemade cold brew.
